Common questions

Straight answers, without launch theater.

01Can I create an account on this website?

Not yet. This is a public product and policy site, not the Boardvision app. The current contact links open your email app; they do not create an account or automatically add you to a waitlist.

02What is included in the first private-alpha milestone?

The first gated slice is focused on private-alpha access, resumable PGN import, versioned provisional analysis, and evidence-weighted skill and style reports with uncertainty. Reproducible Stockfish verification, adaptive sparring, and curriculum remain later quality gates—not current promises.

03What kind of games will Boardvision analyze?

The product scope is standard-chess PGN. Clock data, source context, and completed post-game reflection can strengthen some conclusions, but missing context should lower confidence rather than block every useful analysis.

04Will the adaptive opponent intentionally play bad moves?

No. Stockfish remains the objective oracle. Personalization may choose only among candidates that pass hard objective-quality gates, so the opponent can shape the decisions you face without manufacturing lessons through arbitrary blunders.

05Why does review hold back the answer?

Boardvision is designed around active retrieval. At selected positions, the player reconstructs candidates, commits to a move or line, and records an explanation or explicit skip before corrective feedback appears.

06Can I keep my imported games out of model training?

That is a product requirement. Private-game use for your own analysis is separate from consent to future population-model training. Withdrawing consent should remove those games from future training manifests.

07Has pricing been announced?

No. Product tiers, limits, and App Store availability will be defined in a later monetization milestone. This site does not sell a subscription or take payment.
